After arriving at the Valley Advanced Gamma Knife Center, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will help you get started and answer any questions you may have.
Some preparations for your treatment include:
• You will remove all jewelry, makeup, nail polish, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and hairpieces or wigs as well as dentures or any other prostheses.
• To allow you to receive fluids and medications to help you relax, you will have an intravenous (IV) line started in your arm.
• Most patients will have a blood pressure cuff, oxygen monitor and EKG monitor attached so vital signs can be monitored throughout the day.
